KATHRYN SAWYER

Kathryn Sawyer joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2023. 

Prior to joining TCO, Kathryn was an attorney with Swanson Law Firm, where her practice focused on analyzing and implementing ethical solutions with minimal tax consequences for clients’ unique business and estate planning needs. Kathryn also has experience as in-house counsel and director of safety for a small oil and gas company. Additionally, she has extensive experience working at the Oklahoma Tax Commission reviewing proposed legislation and forecasting the impact to state revenues.  

Kathryn graduated from the University of Tulsa with a BSBA in energy management. She then earned her law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law.  

She is a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association, where she serves as the state liaison for the tax section. Kathryn enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs playing disc golf and board games.

STACEY CURTIS

Stacey is a highly experienced senior vice president and director of Trust Company of Oklahoma’s Retirement Plan Solutions division. She previously worked within our Trust Administration division. Along with her previous experience at TCO, Stacey worked as a retirement plan and business development specialist at BOK Financial. Her expertise allows a unique perspective and a passion for finding innovative solutions that meet the needs of her clients.  

Stacey’s success is built on her ability to actively listen and understand her client’s goals and objectives, and her skill at making connections and finding solutions to meet their diverse needs. Stacey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in corporate finance and has earned her CTFA designation, providing her with the expertise to navigate the complexities of the trust and financial services industries. 

Born and raised in northeast Arkansas, Stacey and her husband frequently travel to the area to visit family. They have 2 children in the Jenks school district and enjoy spending time together playing table tennis, pickleball, tennis, and riding around the neighborhood on their golf cart. They also love traveling adventures such as zip lining in Costa Rica, jumping off high rocks in Hawaii, and hiking in the Hollywood Hills.

MICHELLE ALVARADO

Michelle Alvarado is a dedicated trust officer within the Oil and Gas division at Trust Company of Oklahoma. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Michelle began her career with TCO in 2005 and has since developed a reputation as a reliable and knowledgeable professional.

Michelle’s commitment to continuing education and staying up-to-date on the latest industry trends is evident in her pursuit of an accounting specialist: associate in applied science degree. She is always seeking to improve her skills and knowledge to better serve her clients.

In addition to her work at Trust Company of Oklahoma, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in her community. She believes in giving back and making a positive impact in the world around her.

GARRETT GUINN

Garrett is an assistant vice president within the Investment Management division of Trust Company of Oklahoma. Prior to joining TCO, Garrett worked at PwC within the Deals group, consulting on valuation and business modeling related to large transactions. He has a strong background in investing, valuation, and financial modeling. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role, helping clients achieve their financial goals through customized solutions and expert guidance.  

Garrett holds a BBA from the University of Oklahoma, focused on finance and energy management. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder, reflecting his expertise and commitment to professional development. With a passion for people and investing, Garrett is dedicated to providing excellent service directly to his clients.  

Outside of TCO, Garrett volunteers at the Tulsa Boys Home, whose board he joined in 2023. In his spare time, you’ll likely find him running on the path beside Riverside or visiting one of Tulsa’s many new restaurants. Garrett and his wife, Courtney, live in Brookside with their dog, Tucker, who happens to have a large Instagram following @tucker_thetulsa_vizsla.

HOLLY FERGUSON

Holly Ferguson joined Trust Company of Oklahoma is 2023 and is a senior vice president in our Retirement Plan Solutions division. Holly brings extensive expertise in retirement plan design and consulting, compliance, ERISA, and retirement plan corrections. She is a trusted business advisor to clients of all sizes, providing guidance and expertise in retirement plans, executive benefits, and compensation planning.

With a BA in economics and an MBA, Holly has a deep understanding of financial and business principles. She leverages this knowledge to develop retirement plan strategies that align with her clients’ objectives while ensuring compliance with complex regulations and requirements. 

Holly’s dedication to excellence is reflected in her numerous licenses and designations. She is enrolled to practice before the IRS as an enrolled retirement plan agent (ERPA) and also holds the Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator™ (QKA®) designations from the American Society of Pension Professions and Actuaries (ASPPA). Holly has been a member of ASPPA since 2010. These credentials demonstrate her expertise and commitment to staying up to date on the latest trends and best practices in the retirement plan industry.

Beyond her professional achievements, Holly is an active member of her community. She currently serves on the Parent Leadership Council at Northeastern University and previously served as president, treasurer and membership director of organizations in North Carolina. Holly is a Tulsa native and is excited to make an impact in the Tulsa community. 

TAYLOR JARRELL

Taylor is the controller within the Corporate division of Trust Company of Oklahoma, where she has excelled since joining the team in 2021. She brings a wealth of expertise in tax, audit, and client experience, providing invaluable support for trust officers to deliver excellent client service.

With her extensive tax background, Taylor is uniquely qualified to offer expert guidance on complex financial matters. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, which further underscores her dedication to professional development and staying abreast of the latest trends in the industry.

Taylor is a passionate advocate of financial literacy and building generational wealth. She has previously served as Treasurer of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, where she helped to further the organization’s mission of supporting families affected by Parkinson’s disease.

BAYLOR CASHMORE

Baylor Cashmore is a trust officer in the Retirement Plan Solutions Operation Group at Trust Company of Oklahoma. Baylor has a strong focus on 401(k) retirement plans and services, with extensive experience working with customers, CEOs, and owners of small and large businesses. He provides customized solutions and expert guidance on their retirement planning needs.

Baylor was inspired to pursue a career in the financial industry by the opportunity to gain a skillset that he could use both personally and professionally. He brings a unique perspective to his work, combining his deep knowledge of the industry with a genuine desire to help people improve their financial well-being.

In addition to his work at Trust Company of Oklahoma, Baylor is also a participating representative for the Relius Virtual User Group. He collaborates with members and users nationwide to brainstorm the future and provide modern resources for all Relius users and clients.

KATHY TURNER

Kathy Turner joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2020, serving our clients and trust administrators. She demonstrated exceptional skills and commitment, earning a promotion to trust officer in 2022. 

Kathy came to TCO from State Farm Insurance, where she worked for nearly 30 years. She worked in both business and personal lines fire underwriting departments before being promoted to accounting coordinator, a position she held for eight years.  

Currently, Kathy is actively pursuing the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation, further demonstrating her commitment to professional growth and excellence in the field.  

Beyond her professional achievements, Kathy has been a long-standing volunteer with Special Olympics and United Way Day of Caring, with a desire to make a positive impact.  

As a native Tulsan, Kathy finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends. Her love for Grand Lake is evident, as she seizes every opportunity to escape there whenever possible.

ANDREW KING

Andrew King joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2021. At TCO, Andrew uses his legal experience to administer trusts, consult with clients on their estate planning needs, and to solve complicated business matters for his clients.  

Prior to joining TCO, Andrew was an attorney with McAfee & Taft, where his practice focused on estate planning, probate litigation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and real estate transactions. 

Andrew graduated from Oklahoma State University with dual degrees in economics and political science. He then earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law. 

Andrew is a veteran of the Army National Guard, serving six years, including leading a mortar fire team in combat operations in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011-12.  

Andrew is a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum, the Tulsa Title & Probate Lawyers Association, and currently serves as the co-chair of the fundraising committee for Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma in Tulsa.

SARA SHAKLEE

Sara Shaklee joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2016 as an administrative assistant, working in various capacities of trust administration. She was promoted to serve the executive team in 2020, then elevated to trust officer in 2021. She earned the title of assistant vice president in 2023.</br>

Sara came to TCO after experience in both the business and legal sectors, working for a boutique firm in Tulsa specializing in civil and banking law.</br>

Sara studied for her associate degree at Tulsa Community College, where she received highest honors in the state for macroeconomics, before transferring to Penn State University to continue her Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. Sara is pursuing both her CTFA and CFP® designations.</br>

She is a member of Executive Women International, serving on the Sergeant at Arms Committee.</br>

A native Tulsan, Sara has one daughter at Holland Hall. Aside from her loves of tennis, cooking and travel, she enjoys dedicating her time to supporting nonprofit organizations, especially those that serve women and children in need.

BRITTNEY ADKISSON

Brittney Adkisson joined TCO in 2015 as executive assistant to both the CEO and the COO. She was promoted to assistant vice president in 2020.

Brittney has over a decade of experience in the financial services and banking industry. She came to TCO from BancFirst, where she started her career as a teller and was promoted to customer service representative.

Outside of TCO, Brittney is a court appointed special advocate for Tulsa CASA and volunteers on the Safe Babies Court Team.

JARED OGLE

Jared Ogle has been with TCO since 2020. Originally joining TCO as a land analyst, he was soon promoted to trust officer.

Before joining TCO, Jared worked for Associated Resources, Inc., in oil and gas property management.

Jared graduated from Oral Roberts University with a degree in business management. He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Master of Jurisprudence in Energy Law.

JAMES L. MADDUX

James Maddux has almost 30 years of financial services experience, including trust and estate planning, investments, qualified plan consulting and banking. He joined TCO in 2020 and continues to serve as trust administrator.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tulsa. James acquired the CFP® accreditation in 2003. He holds additional designations as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor and as an Accredited Estate Planner®. 

James is a member of the board of directors for Happy Hands Education Center and his church. He is a past president of both the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum and the Tulsa Financial Planning Association, as well as numerous other nonprofits. 

James and his wife of 35 years are parents of two and grandparents of two.  When not attending the grandchildren’s events, James enjoys working in his shop and small-scale ranching.

JACKIE JIMENEZ

Jackie Jimenez has over a decade of experience in the accounting and auditing industry. She previously served as a senior auditor for firms in Texas as well as Tulsa, with an emphasis in financial institutions and retirement plans.

As a senior auditor, she has supervised staff members and collaborated with clients to ensure internal audits, agreed-upon procedures, or year-end audits were appropriately completed.

Jackie holds the CPA designation. A native of Texas, she earned her bachelor’s in business administration with a major in accounting and a Master of Science, accounting, from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.

SEAN CONNOLLY

Sean Connolly joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2018 as a real estate assistant and was promoted to trust officer in 2019. He earned a promotion to assistant vice president in 2020.

Shortly after joining the company Sean obtain his license in Oklahoma as a real estate sales associate. Through his continued progress in this industry he has established experience in residential property sales, property management and real estate compliance.

A native Tulsan, Sean completed his studies at Tulsa Community College with an associate degree in horticulture science. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Oklahoma Association of Realtors, as well as the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors.

LINDSAY BIVIN

Lindsay Bivin joined TCO in 2008 as an operations specialist in the Retirement Plan Solutions division. She was then promoted to Retirement Plan Solutions specialist and currently serves as assistant vice president.

Lindsay’s responsibilities include client and participant relations, legal plan document design, and monitoring plan operations.

Prior to her employment with TCO, her work experience involved provider relations, program coordination, marketing, and accounting.

Lindsay earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma while majoring in business management.

She is a member of the Tulsa Employee Benefits Group and has served as a member of the Family & Children Services Brainiac Ball committee since 2014. Lindsay also serves as a member of CURA for the world annual Gala fundraiser committee.

JIM SAVAGE

Jim Savage joined TCO in 2019 as a senior vice president in the Investment Management division. He has over three decades of experience in the investment industry.

He came to TCO after three years serving as vice president and investment manager at Bank of Oklahoma. Prior to that, he was at SunTrust for 15 years, where he served five years as an institutional portfolio manager and 10 years as an equity portfolio manager and research analyst. He has also served as a portfolio manager at Regions Financial.

Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University and a master’s degree in finance from Georgia State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder, and he currently serves as an officer of the CFA Society of Oklahoma. He is also the chair of the Advisory Board of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Investment Program. Jim enjoys reading, and in the fall he officiates high school and college football.

ANDREA ESPARZA

Andrea Esparza has been with TCO since 1999, starting as a record keeper in the Retirement Plan Solutions division.

She was promoted to settlement technician in 2008 and to securities trader in the Investment Management division in 2016. She now oversees all trading activities.

Andrea has over 25 years of experience in the trust and investment industry. Prior to joining TCO, she worked at Bank of Oklahoma and at First of America Bank.

TRENA PERSON

Trena Person joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2014 and was shortly promoted to trust officer. She was promoted to assistant vice president in 2017. A native Tulsan, she has almost 15 years of banking experience overall, including 11 years of experience directly involved in trust administration and operations.

At TCO, Trena is responsible for the process of new accounts and their assets. She processes transfer of assets on new incoming accounts, reviewing and verifying information on transfers, working with clearing custodian and delivering firms regarding any follow-up or action that may be necessary to ensure the completion of asset transfers. In addition, she is responsible for sending and processing corporate action notifications, tracking response deadlines, and payable dates.

Trena has earned the Securities Industry Professional US Corporate Actions Processing (SIP Level II) certification from Securities Operations Forum and Seton Hall University. She has been a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) since November 2015.

T. RAYLENE ROGERS

Raylene Rogers joined TCO in 2006 as an assistant vice president and was promoted to vice president in 2017.

Raylene is a landman with more than 20 years of experience in title curative, leases and assignments. 

She is well-versed in legal compliance documentation, and oil and gas lease negotiation and acquisition. 

She is a member of the Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen and the American Association of Professional Landmen.

MICHAEL ABBOUD

Michael Abboud, executive vice president, chief investment officer, and member of our Board of Directors, joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2003 after obtaining his MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Tulsa. He graduated with academic honors as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Before this, Michael performed neuroscience research at the W.K. Warren Medical Research Foundation, where he was published and awarded for his research efforts.

He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder and is a member of the CFA® Society of Oklahoma.

A native of Tulsa, Michael also earned his bachelor’s degree from TU and is a member of the board of directors for Leadership Tulsa.

RYAN SHORT

Ryan Short joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2016 and currently serves as senior vice president and director of Personal Trust Administration.

He came to TCO from Northwestern Mutual, where he directed the investment operations and compliance department for the firm’s Oklahoma and Arkansas offices. 

As general securities principal, he has supervised financial advisors for over 10 years and collaborated with them to ensure that planning recommendations, insurance contracts, and investment portfolios are aligned with client goals and objectives.  

Ryan is a graduate, magna cum laude, of the University of Oklahoma, a native Tulsan, and a Certified Financial Planner™ professional.

JIM BLOOMFIELD

Jim Bloomfield is a licensed real estate broker and brings more than 20 years of experience in business management and marketing in both retail and building trades to our company.

Jim joined TCO in January 2001 as an assistant vice president in the Real Estate division. He was promoted to vice president shortly after joining the company.

A native Tulsan, Jim attended the University of Oklahoma. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Oklahoma Association of Realtors, as well as the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors.

JAN SOMMERS

Jan Sommers joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2000 as a trust officer. With over 20 years experience in various capacities of trust operations, Jan manages our Operations division. She is responsible for overseeing the securities settlement process, as well as all incoming new account relationships. In addition, she takes care of the cash and accounting for client services and client tax reporting.

A Tulsa native, Jan came to TCO from AmeriTrust, where her primary focus was in investment operations. Her banking career began at First National Bank and Trust Company of Tulsa, where she specialized in trust operations.

VICKY BROWN

Vicky Brown joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in July 2007 as a retirement plan compliance associate in the Retirement Plan Solutions division. She was promoted to vice president in 2023. Her responsibilities include compliance, client and participant reporting, ERISA regulated testing, and tax reporting for employee benefit plans.

Prior to joining TCO, Vicky worked in property management and construction accounting for 15 years at American Residential Group, GBR Properties, and Leinbach Company.

Vicky holds the Qualified 401(k) Consultant (QKC) designation and the Qualified 401(k) Administrator™ (QKA®) designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). She is a member of the Tulsa Employee Benefits Group and the ASPPA.

WHITTNEY STAUFFER

Whittney Stauffer joined TCO in 2017 as vice president in the Trust Services division and was promoted to senior vice president in 2021. She has experience in investment management, wealth advisory, financial planning, and providing banking and financing services to individuals, endowments, and foundations. Whittney currently oversees the Investment Management Agency at TCO.

Whittney received her bachelor of business administration in finance from the University of Oklahoma. In addition, she is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. 

She is a past trustee for the Philbrook Museum of Art and past board president of The Pencil Box. Whittney currently sits on University of Tulsa’s Friends of Finance board and currently serves as treasurer of the Tulsa Midtown Chapter of National Charity League, a mother/daughter service organization. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Tulsa, a Leadership Tulsa graduate, and a member of Harvard Avenue Christian Church.  

Whittney resides in Tulsa with her husband, Joey, and their two children, Meryl and Sam. When she is not chasing after kids and attending their activities, she loves to travel, especially to Colorado to snow ski, and cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners.  

DEBI J. COMBS

Debi Combs has been with TCO since 1989. Her expertise includes retirement plan design and consulting, compliance and ERISA testing, systems administration, as well as client and tax reporting. 

Debi began her career at Utica National Bank in 1983, working in both the energy and trust departments. Debi is enrolled to practice before the IRS as an enrolled retirement plan agent (ERPA). She also holds the Qualified Pension Administration (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator™ (QKA®) designations from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. 

She has been a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries since 2004 and a member of the Tulsa Employee Benefits Group since 1995, previously serving on their steering committee. Debi is a graduate of Leadership Tulsa Class 52 and remains active in the organization. She previously served as treasurer and member of the board of directors of Coffee Bunker, a nonprofit peer-run support center for veterans in Tulsa.

MELISSA TAYLOR

Melissa Taylor joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in April 2013 as vice president and trust officer. She specializes in client trust and estate needs.

Prior to joining Trust Company, Melissa practiced tax law, probate administration, trust and estate planning and employee benefits law at GableGotwals.

Melissa graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with degrees in letters and classics. She then taught Latin for five years before earning her law degree from the University of Tulsa, where she was recognized as “Most Outstanding Student”. Continuing her education, she went on to earn her LL.M in taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law.

Melissa is a member of the Tulsa County, Oklahoma, and American Bar Associations as well as Tulsa Estate Planning Forum. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Family Safety Center and volunteers with the Tulsa Area United Way. She is also a Class 49 member in Leadership Tulsa.

LESA A. CREVELING

Lesa Creveling has been with Trust Company of Oklahoma since 1999.

She was licensed as certified public accountant in 1987. She holds a bachelor’s and law degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

Before joining TCO, Lesa practiced law in the private sector, concentrating on estate planning, taxation and probate.

She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Tulsa County Bar Association and the Tulsa Title and Probate Lawyers Association.

Lesa has served as president of both the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum and Metro Christian Academy Foundation. She also served as an officer of the Oklahoma Bar Association Estate Planning, Probate and Trust section.

JULIE URIARTE

Julie Uriarte joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in April 2013 as an assistant vice president. She was then promoted to vice president in December 2023. 

Julie leads the compliance department in our Retirement Plan Solutions division. Her expertise and responsibilities include plan design and consulting, as well as ERISA regulated compliance testing and tax reporting for employee benefit plans. 

Before joining TCO, Julie served as a human resources consultant for ONEOK. Prior to her employment with ONEOK, she was a human resources business partner with Community Care HMO. 

Earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas, Julie majored in political science and Spanish with a minor in French. She then earned her master’s degree in public administration from the University of Oklahoma. 

Julie holds both her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society for Human Resource Management — Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications. She also holds her Qualified 401(K) Administrator™ (QKA®) designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Additionally, Julie was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2021.

Julie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, and the Tulsa Employee Benefits Group, previously serving on their steering committee. 

Julie has two elementary age children who attend the School of Saint Mary. She currently holds the vice president position in their Home & School and will serve as president of the organization the following school year. Julie is also enrolled in Leadership Tulsa Class 70.  

DANA DAVIS

Dana Davis joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 1991 serving in the Operations Division. She was promoted to trust officer in 1995, assistant vice president in 2005, and vice president in 2007. She currently oversees the Retirement Plan Services Operation Group; keeping record of contributions, loan transactions, distributions and reallocations for employee benefit plans.

A Tulsa native, Dana has more than 30 years of experience in the trust and banking industry. Prior to joining TCO she was with Bank of Oklahoma for 11 years in the finance department and investment operations.

NICK GALLUS

Nick Gallus joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2014, serving clients as a portfolio manager and director of investment research in the Investment Management division. 

Nick has spent over 18 years in the investment management industry, with experience as a sell-side analyst researching and recommending stocks, high yield bonds, and structured products. As a technology equity analyst at Piper Jaffray, his team was named one of the Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street.” 

A native of Minnesota, Nick earned his bachelor’s degree in business, finance from the University of Minnesota in 2003 (go Gophers!) and his MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2013. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder and is a member of the CFA® Society of Oklahoma. 

Nick made his way to Oklahoma for his beautiful and amazing wife, Kami, who works at Oklahoma State University. Their two young boys, Benton and Zay, keep them active with sports (basketball, soccer, football, and lacrosse) on most weekends. Aside from investing, Nick’s hidden talent in life is planning the ultimate summer vacation to a new area of the country each year.

MICHAEL R. HAIRSTON

Michael Hairston is executive vice president, chief operating officer, and member of TCO’s Board of Directors. Michael has been in the trust industry for 35 years, 25 of those with Trust Company of Oklahoma.

Before joining TCO, he served as vice president of the private financial services group of the Bank of Oklahoma. Prior to this, he managed the personal trust division at Valley Bank and Trust Company in Salt Lake City, Utah. Michael began his trust career in 1981 with Utica National Bank and Trust Company.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Oklahoma State University and completed the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University.

Michael has been designated a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor by the Institute of Certified Bankers. He is a trustee of the Tulsa County Medical Society Foundation. He is also a former director and president of the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum and former director of the Green Country Council Camp Fire USA.

Michael is a member of the Rotary Club of Tulsa, where he is a Paul Harris Fellow and a Club Foundation Fellow. In addition, he serves as trustee of the Tulsa County Medical Society Foundation.

MICHAEL HOPPER

Michael Hopper, president, chief executive officer, and member of our Board of Directors, has been with Trust Company of Oklahoma since 2013.

At TCO, Michael has experience in trust administration, wealth management, retirement planning, and financial planning. He combines this expertise to assist individuals, families, and businesses in attaining their goals.

Michael came to TCO after spending nearly a decade with Northwestern Mutual, gaining experience in investments and insurance.

He spent several years heading the advisory committee for the A. R. and Marylouise Tandy Foundation, assisting in projects targeting the arts and education throughout the state of Oklahoma.

Michael is an active Tulsa Estate Planning Forum member and previously served as its president. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Certified Financial Planner professional with the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation.

Michael and his wife, Shelly, are lifelong Tulsans. When not dedicating his time to TCO, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and their two sons. He also enjoys returning to nature by gardening and cooking, particularly barbecuing with his neighbors.

RHONDA KERR

Rhonda Kerr has been with TCO since 2001. She is a vice president in our Oil and Gas division.

She has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas business. Her prior experience includes stints with Helmerich & Payne, Inc., Agate Petroleum, Inc., Gothic Production, and Amoco.

Rhonda is a native Tulsan who attended Nathan Hale High School and majored in accounting at Northeastern Oklahoma in Miami.

JENNIFER MAY

Jennifer May joined TCO in 2002 and was promoted to trust officer in 2008. She was promoted to assistant vice president in 2011. 

With almost 20 years of banking experience, Jennifer came to TCO from Bank of Oklahoma, where she worked in the institutional and employee benefits department.

A native of Tulsa, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and marketing from Oklahoma State University and is a graduate of Cannon Trust School. She has also been designated a certified trust and financial advisor by the Institute of Certified Bankers.

She is a member of the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum and is actively involved as a volunteer for Tulsa Street School and Family & Children’s Services. 

STEVE MCQUADE

Steve McQuade joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2016 as a vice president and manager of the Operations division. He was promoted to senior vice president in 2018.

With over 20 years of experience, Steve worked as a senior business consultant at TIAA-CREF Trust Company, FSB prior to joining TCO. Before this, Steve worked at other firms, including Edward Jones Trust Company and A.G. Edwards & Sons in St. Louis.

Previously, Steve served on the Financial Services Technical Networking board and the Back-Office Services Processing board as a board member and president. Steve has volunteered with the Head for the Cure foundation, bringing their 5K Run and Walk to St. Louis in 2013 and helping raise over $300,000 for brain cancer research since the inaugural event.

REBECCA MITCHELL

Rebecca Mitchell joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 2018. Before coming to the company, she worked for Family & Children’s Services for almost three years.

Rebecca graduated from the University of Tulsa with a bachelor’s in sociology. She returned to TU for her MBA. During her master’s, she participated in TU’s Student Investment Fund class, and was the student executive officer.

In the past, she was active in RSVP Tulsa as a board intern and volunteered with Junior Achievement’s Investment Challenge.

In addition to her board membership at Clarehouse, Rebecca serves on the finance committee. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

JOANNA K. MURPHY

Joanna Murphy, senior vice president and member of our Board of Directors, joined TCO in 2010.  

Previously, Joanna had the opportunity to administer a variety of both domestic and international trusts and estates during her seven years as a trust and estate officer for Citigroup in both New York and Zurich, Switzerland. She has developed a special interest in estate settlement and working with families through these transitions.

A native Oklahoman, Joanna attended the University of Missouri and graduated with her BS Ed. in special education. She earned her juris doctorate degree from the University of Tulsa and her LL.M. in taxation from Washington University in St. Louis.

She is a member of the Oklahoma and Missouri bars, the Tulsa County Bar Association, and the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum.
